The 1950’s style all pink italian restaraunt is located at 174 Elizabeth in New York City. I was super excited to check out this instagram worthy restaurant;however I had a bad experience which did not match the excitement. As I was taking pictures for my blog the hostess came out and said “are you dining here”I told her yes table for 3 . I felt as if she was insinuating that Im taking pictures so I should be eating there. I wanted to take pictures before I dine in to catch the sun but after that I felt like let me go inside so they could know Im not only taking pictures. But Its such a pretty aesthetic in front of the restaraunt so don’t feel pressured to have to eat there because your taking pictures. My friend was taking a picture the table and instead of politely saying no DSL cameras the waiter states no DSL cameras thats only for photoshoots. Another thing I did not like was when we asked for straws the hostess threw it on the table instead of handing it (keep in mind this was not the straws covered with paper.)The best part inside to me was bathroom shown above that I felt was dope.
MY friend called prior to inquire about the lunch special which states a cocktail and pasta dish for $21.We asked the waiter and she said its a fall special which is weird because my friend called last week. The menu is pretty light so if your really hungry ,I would not recommend.I Ordered the spicy lamb burger that came with a side salad. The salad barely tasted like it had anything on it.The spicy lamb burger was flavorful. One thing that ticked me off is i saw another different ethnicity girl across order the same lamb burger as me as me and upon giving us the food the waiter asked “do you want hot sauce”I felt a racist undertone and that bothered me as well first I was questioned If I was coming in .Now this.I try not to be sensitive towards such issues but even my friends felt that energy.
MY OVERALL REVIEW
The owner was very nice he asked how was the food and gave us stickers but from my experience with the f staff I made my mind to never go back. So we asked for the check and guest what ?she tells us they only take american express or cash . Instead of coming outside to checking on me about taking pictures she should of said this policy from the very beginning. Thankfully my friends to had cash on them so we cashed app each other after .The yelp reviews was 3 stars I give it two because the pink part is nice but I will never eat in such a place again .Sometimes places are instagram worthy and they don’t feel to treat you right If your not a celeb or to up to there appearance.
DESSERT AT TAIYAKI
After being disappointed at PIETRO NOLITA me and the girls decided to go to the next INSTAGRAM WORTHY place which I assure you did not disappoint .Located right in the heart of lower manhattan where ice cream unicorns exist is TAIYAKI NYC which has japanese ice cream in a fish shaped cone. The Ice cream will cost you 8 bucks but its very worth it. I ordered the unicorn which is made up of strawberry vanilla.
My favorite trend is color blocking. As you can see I used different shades of pink to bring out my outfit and compliment my stripe pants. Fashion is about telling your story with your style so push the envelope you don’t always have to match and be safe. My style always include pushing the envelope whether its wearing two different prints at the same time or wearing five different colors to make it make sense. The whole outfit is from rainbows. The pants is $20 the top is $5.99 and the blazer was$20. The Hello Kitty bag and gold shoes is right from my closet which I had it for years. When shopping I like to get something I can always wear in the future with another outfit which saves money.
Gilded Glam Society will always promote diversity and equality for all. Above is an experience I wanted to share with you that I had right in the heart of soho that hurt me to my core but i will move forward. This happened while we were cashing app each other in front of a store due to piernolita not letting there customers know they don’t take visa and I had no cash on me .
