Located at 445 5th ave in NYC is one of the summers most fun instagramable places. You can indulge in a splash of international rosé from places like South Africa and even France in your free glass thats included in your package. My favorite room was the one with the tub full of roses in boomerang shown above. The ticket was 35 bucks plus tax but I believe its around 50 bucks after peak times. Another activity at the mansion is that you can make your personalize rosé flavor.Keep in mind each rooms gives you a splash of bubbly so you won’t get to tipsy which is good. Each room has a instagramable theme to take plenty of pictures so get your ticket ahead of time because it sells out quickly and live your best life. At the end there is two free photo booths an actually pink sand fake mini beach and a bar where you buy your own bottle .Thank me later:)

The 1950’s style all pink italian restaraunt is located at 174 Elizabeth in New York City. I was super excited to check out this instagram worthy restaurant;however I had a bad experience which did not match the excitement. As I was taking pictures for my blog the hostess came out and said “are you dining here”I told her yes table for 3 . I felt as if she was insinuating that Im taking pictures so I should be eating there. I wanted to take pictures before I dine in to catch the sun but after that I felt like let me go inside so they could know Im not only taking pictures. But Its such a pretty aesthetic in front of the restaraunt so don’t feel pressured to have to eat there because your taking pictures. My friend was taking a picture the table and instead of politely saying no DSL cameras the waiter states no DSL cameras thats only for photoshoots. Another thing I did not like was when we asked for straws the hostess threw it on the table instead of handing it (keep in mind this was not the straws covered with paper.)The best part inside to me was bathroom shown above that I felt was dope.
MY friend called prior to inquire about the lunch special which states a cocktail and pasta dish for $21.We asked the waiter and she said its a fall special which is weird because my friend called last week. The menu is pretty light so if your really hungry ,I would not recommend.I Ordered the spicy lamb burger that came with a side salad. The salad barely tasted like it had anything on it.The spicy lamb burger was flavorful. One thing that ticked me off is i saw another different ethnicity girl across order the same lamb burger as me as me and upon giving us the food the waiter asked “do you want hot sauce”I felt a racist undertone and that bothered me as well first I was questioned If I was coming in .Now this.I try not to be sensitive towards such issues but even my friends felt that energy.
MY OVERALL REVIEW
The owner was very nice he asked how was the food and gave us stickers but from my experience with the f staff I made my mind to never go back. So we asked for the check and guest what ?she tells us they only take american express or cash . Instead of coming outside to checking on me about taking pictures she should of said this policy from the very beginning. Thankfully my friends to had cash on them so we cashed app each other after .The yelp reviews was 3 stars I give it two because the pink part is nice but I will never eat in such a place again .Sometimes places are instagram worthy and they don’t feel to treat you right If your not a celeb or to up to there appearance.
DESSERT AT TAIYAKI
After being disappointed at PIETRO NOLITA me and the girls decided to go to the next INSTAGRAM WORTHY place which I assure you did not disappoint .Located right in the heart of lower manhattan where ice cream unicorns exist is TAIYAKI NYC which has japanese ice cream in a fish shaped cone. The Ice cream will cost you 8 bucks but its very worth it. I ordered the unicorn which is made up of strawberry vanilla.
My favorite trend is color blocking. As you can see I used different shades of pink to bring out my outfit and compliment my stripe pants. Fashion is about telling your story with your style so push the envelope you don’t always have to match and be safe. My style always include pushing the envelope whether its wearing two different prints at the same time or wearing five different colors to make it make sense. The whole outfit is from rainbows. The pants is $20 the top is $5.99 and the blazer was$20. The Hello Kitty bag and gold shoes is right from my closet which I had it for years. When shopping I like to get something I can always wear in the future with another outfit which saves money.
Gilded Glam Society will always promote diversity and equality for all. Above is an experience I wanted to share with you that I had right in the heart of soho that hurt me to my core but i will move forward. This happened while we were cashing app each other in front of a store due to piernolita not letting there customers know they don’t take visa and I had no cash on me .
My photographer irene found this amazing vintage block in china town which has a Tea Parlor called NOM WAH that dates back to the 1920s.Follow my creative photographer on instagram @orangemintpop

Traveling is a way of seeing the world and experiencing different cultures , so what are you waiting for? Most people will say they don’t have the money but will spend over 200 bucks on a concert or 1000 dollars on a bag.The same way you spend money on those expensive items you can put down as a deposit for a cruise or even go to thailand for under $1000(shown in my previous post.
CREATE A BUCKLIST
THAILAND was my number one place on my bucket list
I always dreamed of Thailand which is where I am at shown above . Create a list of your top 10 places you want to go .Below is mine
1)AFRICA 4)BORA BORA 7)ICELAND
2)GREECE 5)MALDIVES 8)TOKOYO
3)DUBAI 6)EXUMA(BAHAMAS) 9)LONDON 10)PARIS
Below is SKY PARK in Singapore which was the next place I dreamed of going to.
Take out a day to sit and create a bucket list which is so important. I wrote a bucket list in my iPhone notes years ago and I still have it until this day.
Before going anywhere you have to research the weather such as if its rain season ,hurricane season or dessert storms depending on which country you choose. For Thailand I went in May which was rain season .I loved the fact that Thailand only rains for a few minutes then the sun would comes out for the rest of the day, also it felt good that the rain broke up the humidity. You must also search if the country takes USD or even credit cards in Shanghai I was stuck in a bind of not having that much yen and rarely any where took cards.
Not everyone could afford a trip with in weeks thats why I say plan a trip months to a year ahead the further away you plan the cheaper the trip is and you give your self time to book things off little by little. The plane ticket is your number one priority I assure you , you can always find a hotel but you got to catch a plan ticket while its cheap because that goes up .
BOOKIT.COM is you best friend because you could book a hotel and not pay until you reach your destination .
Find a TRAVELGROUP it’s always best to talk to people who already been to a destination which is why I give out tips to save you the mistakes I make. I follow a melanin globe travel group on Facebook .
GROUPON is also the perfect source to use it has flight hotel and even itinerary included so that saves the hassle of planning a trip .
Cheapoair.com Just fly.com Airbnb hostels
To conclude all of my tips are from my personal experience.I hope to inspire my readers to travel affordable and open your horizons. There is a whole world waiting for you. Some people say millennials can’t travel or wait until you retire,I say the world is yours now.Whether you are in college or at a under paid job utilize resources or plan a trip a year from now.The same artist you spend money on to see in concert you can be listening to that same song on a beach in Phi Phi island.
The Fashion Industry is very tuff heres some tips to help you get your foot in the door.Utilizing them can even get you in to Fashion Week.
Top right and left was my very first fashion showroom internship at BPCM Showroom.Interning at a fashion pr showroom gives you the perfect in site of the industry. The showrooms provides the garments to stylist, magazines, artist etc for which ever designer they are representing and they even coordinate the designer show for fashion week. Is interning glitz and glam no;it can be ruff because everything is timing where there is no room for error but it is the best place to be around something you love and you really see the way shows work. I discovered showrooms from my first internship with wardrobe stylist Rene Lou Padora who would send me to pick up garments for Kanye West at the time.
The second picture left and right was me volunteering at couture fashion week and the picture to the right was ISIS KING from America’s Top Model. I was head usher at the time but it gave me the opportunity to be around something I love fashion ,the runway and networking with like minded people.
Most people get internships through fashion school but I simple got mine by personally emailing who I was and how much I wanted to work in fashion. The key to success is consistency ,confidence and being able to articulate yourself. Side note I actually got fired from one fashion showroom internship(which i will leave nameless) because the head of interns was being a mean bully and fired me when I stood up for myself .I remember her purposely firing me in the middle of fashion week which made it super hard to get a internship so in the middle of fashion week. I found another internship handing out fliers in front of Lincoln Center which made me more determine than ever to get in the shows on my own I will keep that particular showroom anonymous but it was my last time I ever interned which leads to tip 2 (That particular showroom was my only bad experience . Interning for BPCM showroom, wardrobe stylist Rene Lou Padora and volunteering for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and Couture Fashion Week was a great experience and you get to see the shows working in the showrooms first hand and for free.
TIP 2 START A BLOG
My first blog was on a free site named blog spot. When I first started blogging it was in the beginning era when the industry finally realized you don’t have to be a magazine to be good press but instead bloggers is the future. I started “Gilded Glam Society “started writing about up and coming designers and I personal utilized my showroom experience to promote myself which is why interning and volunteering is important to perfect your craft. Once you feel comfortable enough invest in a really good site such as word press which I’m loving because it has its own community. Top picture was the same girl who was outside the previous year handing out fliers feeling broken from being fired, living her dream being invited to fashion week as press the next year. Never give up its always good to remember where you been to bring you forward of where you going.THE SKY IS NO LONGER A LIMIT!Above bottom picture was me meeting vogue at large editor Andre Leon Talley at Stephen Burrows show.
TIP 3 NETWORKING
One way to network is by going to blogger conference. Above is me and Joe zee from ELLE magazine at the time that was one of the speakers at independent fashion bloggers conference in NYC that I attended. Look up blogger groups because sharing is caring which is why I give away fashion tickets to help other bloggers til this day .
LINKEDIN is the perfect networking site it connects you with other professional individuals that is in the same industry. Go on vista print.com and print out business cards for cheap. Branding yourself and handing out cards at events is the perfect networking tool.
To conclude interning for a fashion pr showroom, stylist or even a fashion designer is what I highly recommend to get your foot in the door.Volunteer to be a usher at the shows that way you never know who you meet and can network with. Start your blog to get exposure and go to the shows as press.Network with other bloggers and go to blogger conference.
ELEVEN BOUTIQUE has two consignment shops and one vintage store. GGS was given the wonderful opportunity to choose a store and host a shop, sip and style event. The store I choose to host was the vintage store in BROOKLYN which I found the most affordable for my readers. Traveling is good for your soul. You do not need to pay 1000 dollars on a round trip ticket to Thailand. My round trip ticket was $675 and it would have been cheaper had I booked it earlier so heres some tips that can help you save and not make the same mistakes:
I booked my flight through cheapoair. Be advised when you book an international flight especially from cheapoair make sure your full name matches the passport or they will charge you over $100 to change it and rebook your entire flight I learned that the hard way forgetting to put my middle name. My original flight was around 500 but I made that error which I had to book a totally different flight unfortunately. My airline was China Eastern and the flight was 20 hrs with a layover in Shanghai then another 5 hours to Thailand.
The best thing to do is book a round trip then buy cheap asian airlines to travel around different places. (sidenote I went to Singapore aswell ) Bangkok and Phuket are on two different sides of the country. I used Viejet airlines .You can take a train from Bangkok to Phuket but its longer. I preferred flying but its your discretion. Some asian airlines require 7 kg carry on weight unlike american 10 kg ). Make sure you book your carry on luggage online because if you check bags in person it is about 50 bucks for that one bag versus under 30.
VIETJET AIR was a small airplane and the seats were very tight lucky for me the flight was short and the plane ticket was 30 bucks.
CHINA EASTERN AIRLINE was not bad at all I flew economy and it was not as much of a nightmare as I thought it would be. My height is around 5/9 and the journey was not that difficult .Most of the meals consisted of noodles or chicken with rice a fruit salad or a fruit. The food taste OK ; however make sure you eat anytime food is distributed other wise you will be waiting a while to eat. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms was very decent which was my biggest fear. The plane had plenty of entertainment such as music ( the weekend , drake,Hasley etc) to movies which was a great selection from ant man to even avengers and so on. I downloaded movies on netflix but i did not need to use it much.I prefer window seats and if you are booking try to get the two seaters it is even better but towards the back of the plane
I stayed at TRAVElODGE hotel in Bangkok which was 20 a night sharing with a friend so less then. This hotel included access to a nice sky pool and it was right in the heart of everything.
The next hotel I stayed in Phucket was ASPERY HOTEL which included a really good breakfast but I was not a big fan of how the hotel was in a alley and the bathroom was not the best.
The last hotel was THE COTTAGE which was beautiful and came with a nice balcony and access to a pool for 25 a night including breakfast
I brought 300 usd worth of baht which gave me a round 5000 and keep in mind everything there is 100 bahts and the cab rides is 300 bahts . Everything is super cheap once you reach and you can bargin the price for everything.
The best thing to do is book your trips months way ahead I’m not saying to book a trip next week and you will find something cheap.I booked my trip in February for may and everything I saw flights 500 -600 had i booked January i could of had a flight for as low as 494.One more thins with cheapoair the prices go up and down and sometimes it waits to the end to tell you it was sold old but they really do have good prices .Other sites you can se is expedia , groupon or just fly.
In conclusion I hope this information helps you. Good luck with your trips and stay tuned to more travel with me .
